Lead OLAP Architect Manufacturer of Home Decor Products

Served as the lead OLAP developer for this client's decision support pilot project. PowerPlay cubes were developed to measure the client’s sales, marketing, and recruiting key indicators. Cognos Visualizations were developed to the company's executive management. Cognos Upfront was used as a portal into the PowerPlay Cubes.

BroadVision Database Architect Catalog and Internet Sales Retailer

Acted as Database Administrator for this organization, creating an Oracle database development environment and performing all of the database modifications necessary for their BroadVision web site renovation. I also assisted in developing this company's database development standards for all future projects.

Consultant Chemicals Manufacturer

I migrated this client's product information database from SQL Server 7 to Oracle 8.1.5 using SQL Server 7's Data Transformation Services. I also developed a series of COM objects in Visual Basic that were used as the database retrieval method for the company's new product information web site.

Data Integrator Chemicals Manufacturer

Assisted this client in converting their data from three legacy systems into SAP. This required the development of data conversion applications used to convert material and vendor related information. The conversion applications were developed using Microsoft Access.

Data Warehouse Architect Property Insurance Carrier

Designed a data warehouse to maintain a history of this client's business indicators (experience, exposure and losses). My tasks for this engagement were designing the database, creation of load scripts, creation of control programs, and the development of cleansing and transformation procedures. I also provided training on the creation and maintenance of the warehouse. The data warehouse was developed in Oracle 8.0 using PL/SQL and SQL Loader for the transformation and load procedures. The final product was a 151Gb data warehouse, which returns complex queries in less than 5 seconds.
